Improv Ensemble

 

*This is not necessarily a jazz improv course. We may use jazz as an example/exercise for unlocking creative ideas, but jazz skills are not required for the class.

Improv Ensemble is for those who have skills on their instrument and want to expand their creative comfort zone through improvising. Experience with improvisation is beneficial, but not required. The class will be useful for those who are still new to improvising, those who have studied jazz techniques for years, those who create avante-garde soundscapes for fun, and everything in between. The main goal is not to expand technique, but to find freedom in whatever musical avenue is preferred.
