Have you ever wondered what makes the music you love so powerful? Are you curious how to go about adding a string section for that song you wrote about your cat? Or maybe the perfect synth hook for your upcoming pop break-out record? Whatever it is, chances are that some composition chops will go a long way to help you get there. This class is open to composers of all kinds: singer-songwriters, producers, musical theatre enthusiasts, you name it. We’ll look at a wide variety of compositional techniques focused on the needs and interests of the class.

Requirements:  Participants should have some experience with creating their own music (in any style). Experience with music reading and some music theory will help participants get the most out of the class.
